Chair of the Computer Science Engineering Programs

I'm currently chairing the computer science engineering programs (Presidente dei Corsi di Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica e Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Informatica). For any issue concerning the courses, please contact me by email or meet me in my office upon request.

Student hours

I'm available for advices on Monday from 16.00 to 18.00 in my office at the second floor of the RCOST building (Via Traiano). It is suggested to contact me by e-mail to plan an appointment.

Available theses

If you are interested in developing a thesis work (or bachelor final project work) in the field of software engineering / mobile app development, possible topics are available here.

Software Engineering

Compulsory course (9 C.F.U.) for the first year (second term) of Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Informatica (Master Degree in Computer Science Engineering), and optional for the Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria Elettronica per l'Automatica e le Telecomunicazioni (Master Degree in Electronics for Automation and Telecommunications).

Course aims:
The objective of this course is to provide the theoretical and practical elements to allow the design and development of complex software systems, coordinating and planning team work.
In other words, the course aims at providing knowledge about software engineering, applying "in field" the theoretical contents by developing a project in which students have to deal with all the development life cycle activities, including coordinating team work activities.

Course Program, Exams and Textbooks:
The course program, exam modality, and suggested textbooks are available in the online student guide.

Course Material:
The course material is available upon request.

Digital Design

Compulsory course (6 C.F.U.) for the first year (second term) of Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica (Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering)

Course aims:
The aim of the course is to provide elements for designing digital circuits of simple and medium complexity, starting from the basic notions of Boolean algebra, and treating the design and realization of combinatorial and sequential circuits. Also, the course will deal with digital circuit simulation and circuit design using the VHDL language.

Course Program, Exams and Textbooks:
