Chapter 5: 5.1-5.7, Chapter 6: 6.1-6.3, Chapter 7: 7.1-7.7, Chapter 9: 9.1-9.2, 9.4, Chapter 10: 10.1-10.7, Chapter 11: 11.3-11.4,.
Supplements 1-2, Supplements 3-4,
Homework assignments: they won't be collected. But the Quiz sections are based on them.
Grading:
Grades will be assigned based on a curve, using (for each single student) the best of the following
two percentages:
15% Quizzes; 20% 1st Midterm; 20%, 2nd Midterm; 40% Final Exam;
15% Quizzes; 20% Best of the two Midterms; ; 65% Final Exam.

Quiz 1: Tue, August 9, 2:30 pm
Midterm 1: Wednesday, August 10, 2:00 pm
Quiz 2: Tue, August 16, 2:30 pm
Quiz 3: Tue, August 23, 2:30 pm
Midterm 2: Wednesday, August 24, 2:00 pm
Quiz 4: Tue, Aug 30, 2:30 pm
Final Exam: Friday, September 2, 11:30-2:30 pm.
Exams:
There will be two midterms and one final. No make-up exams will be
given. For the midterm and the final, you may bring a
single sheet of notes (cut an 8 1/2 X 11
paper in half; notes can be written on both sides). Do not bring a blue
book. The use of calculators or any
electronic devices will not be permitted during exams.
